About Fremantle History Tours With Complimentary Restaurant Lunch

Book Direct with the Owner at Fremantle History Tours With Complimentary Restaurant Lunch with Hervey Bay Accommodation in Fremantle, for all your Attraction and travel needs.

Experience Fremantle, the city of culture and history. Fremantle was founded in 1829 and was originally known as The Swan River Colony. It was to be known as the “free settlement” and to take its first arrival of four hundred settlers that arrived on the HMS Sulphur captained by Charles Fremantle in June 1829.

This is exciting to us and we would like for you to share the experience and learn about the history of Fremantle with our Fremantle Walking Tour. The walking tour will be a gentle 4 hours (approximately) tour where you will experience the 19th century Fremantle architecture, WA Shipwreck Museum, WA Maritime Museum and the original jail now known as the round house. We will finish our tour with a complimentary lunch at one of the sea side restaurants

Fremantle Walking Tours will commence from Esplanade Park in front of the Carriage Café at 8:00 am where we will do a quick meet and greet as well as an introduction to the tour and what can be expected. Tours will go for around four hours so comfortable footwear is advised. From here we will travel along Mews Road and head towards the WA Shipwreck Museum and experience the Batavia and other shipwreck artifacts found along the Western Australian Coastline. Once absorbing the atmosphere of the WA Shipwreck Museum we will then travel to the Round House which was the first permanent building built in the Swan River Colony (Fremantle) and the oldest building in Western Australia. After leaving round house we can experience Heritage listed buildings while making our way to the WA Maritime Museum on the Indian Ocean's shore. The WA Maritime Museum is symbolic of Fremantle's past, present and future as a coastal city. A short stroll from the Museum visiting the Fremantle Markets for before arriving at the Old and iconic Fremantle Prison (Fremantle Prison tours excluded). After experiencing all the highlights the tour will come to a close back at the Esplanade where a restaurant complimentary lunch will be served (conditional apply).

A small book outlining our tour and highlights will be given to all guest.
