Set on Darlinghurst’s busy Crown Street and Kings Lane junction, happily serving the passing foot traffic, is charming modern café, White Carrots. Cocoa coloured rustic timbers cover a welcoming bar and supports a number of glitzy looking industrial lights, lending to the creative vibe that continues through to the White Carrots logo plastered on the window by designer Pane in the Art. If heading in for a sumptuous breakfast, perhaps investigate the tempting Portobello Stack loaded with grilled flat mushroom, spinach, gooey haloumi cheese, poached eggs and pomegranate glaze. For something sweeter, lean towards the mango citrus rum pudding, served with ice cream, cream and citrus sauce, mango slices and tangy orange zest. If stopping by, the signature ice coffee is certainly worth a taste.
